Acceptable Use Policy

Frameshot is a creative tool, not a content laundromat. These rules exist to keep the platform safe, lawful, and useful for everyone.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to every account, every workspace, and every piece of content (including prompts, reference uploads, and generated outputs) on the Service. It supplements the Terms of Service; a violation of this Policy is a breach of those Terms.

2. You will not use Frameshot to

The following uses are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination without refund:

  • Sexual content involving minors (CSAM). Zero tolerance. We report confirmed cases to NCMEC and the relevant authorities.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery, including deepfake nudes or sexualised depictions of real, identifiable people.
  • Deepfakes of real peopleintended to deceive viewers about the person’s identity, words, or actions, except (a) public figures in clearly satirical or editorial contexts where consent is not required, or (b) yourself, or (c) a person who has given verifiable written consent.
  • Fraud and impersonation — generating content to impersonate a real person, brand, or government for purposes of deception, scamming, or unauthorized account access.
  • Harassment, threats, or targeted hate — content directed at an individual or a protected group with the intent to threaten, intimidate, or incite violence.
  • Violent extremism or terrorism — content promoting, glorifying, or facilitating terrorism, mass violence, or organised criminal violence.
  • Self-harm content that promotes or instructs on suicide, eating disorders, or self-mutilation.
  • Child sexualisation in any form, including cartoon, anime, illustrated, or written depictions.
  • Illegal goods and services — content facilitating the sale of weapons, drugs, stolen data, counterfeit currency, or human trafficking.
  • Election or civic integrity attacks — content fabricating statements by candidates or election officials, or designed to suppress voter participation.
  • Misleading medical, legal, or financial advice presented as authoritative without appropriate disclaimers.
  • IP infringement— generating or distributing content that knowingly infringes a third party’s copyright, trademark, or right of publicity.
  • Malicious code or abuse infrastructure — generating, hosting, or distributing malware, phishing kits, or content used to compromise other systems.
  • Service abuse— bypassing rate limits, sharing accounts, scraping the Service, or attempting to exfiltrate other users’ data.

3. Consent and likeness

When generating media that depicts real, identifiable people (including yourself), you affirm that you have all necessary rights and consents — including, where applicable, the person’s express written permission and any required rights of publicity. You are responsible for keeping documentation of consent and producing it on request.

4. Provider terms flow through

The underlying AI models we route to (e.g. fal.ai, Anthropic, ElevenLabs, World Labs) impose their own usage rules. Where a model provider prohibits a use case, that prohibition flows through to your use of the Service even if not enumerated here. We surface relevant provider terms at the time of generation; review them carefully.

5. Reporting abuse

If you encounter content on Frameshot that violates this Policy — including content you have created and want removed — email abuse@frameshot.ai with as much detail as possible (URLs, screenshots, the account or workspace involved). We triage abuse reports within one business day.

For copyright-specific notices, see our DMCA Policy.

6. Enforcement

Depending on severity, history, and intent, we may take any of the following actions in response to a violation:

  • Remove the offending content from your workspace.
  • Issue a formal warning.
  • Suspend generation for a defined period.
  • Terminate your account and forfeit any unused credits or remaining subscription period (no refund).
  • Report to law enforcement where the law requires.

For severe categories (CSAM, threats of imminent violence, deepfakes designed for fraud), we may act immediately and without prior notice. For other categories, we will normally give you an opportunity to remediate before suspension.

7. Appeals

If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, reply to the enforcement email or write to appeals@frameshot.ai within 30 days. Include your account email, the action you are appealing, and any context that would help us reconsider. We commit to a substantive response within 10 business days.

8. Updates

We may update this Policy as new abuse patterns emerge or new categories of generation become available. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days before taking effect.
