1. Cooling-off period
If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with statutory cooling-off rights, you may cancel a paid subscription within 14 days of the initial purchase for a full refund — provided you have not yet generated content with the credits granted by that subscription. Once you have used the Service to generate AI content, the digital service is considered “supplied” and the cooling-off right is exhausted, in line with Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive.
2. Auto-renewal refunds
Subscriptions automatically renew on the anniversary of your last paid period. If a renewal charge is processed and you contact us within 7 days of the charge — before you have used any of the renewed period’s credits — we will refund the renewal fee in full and downgrade the account.
To avoid auto-renewal in the first place, cancel your subscription before the renewal date from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access until then.
3. Pro-rata refunds
We do not generally offer pro-rata refunds for the unused portion of a paid period after you cancel — your subscription remains active and your credits remain spendable until period-end.
Exception: if Frameshot terminates your account without cause (i.e. not due to a breach of the Terms or AUP), we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid annual period.
4. AI generation outputs
AI generation is probabilistic. We do not refund credits spent on a generation that produced an unsatisfying result — the cost of running the model has already been incurred. Where a generation fails outright due to a server-side error, credits are automatically refunded to your balance via our credit-refund pipeline; you do not need to file a claim.
5. Mistaken or duplicate charges
If you believe you were charged in error or charged twice for the same period, contact us at billing@frameshot.ai within 30 days of the charge. We will investigate and refund confirmed errors within 10 business days.
6. How to request a refund
To request a refund, send an email to billing@frameshot.ai including:
- The email address on the account.
- The date and amount of the charge you want refunded.
- A short explanation of the reason for the request.
We will respond within 5 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
7. Statutory rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits your statutory consumer rights under the law of your jurisdiction.
